History

In 1999, God gave two men a heart to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in the streets of Over-the-Rhine (OTR). As God began to transform lives, the OTR Living Water Church was born in 2003. The church has grown to become a multiethnic church comprised predominantly of OTR residents. Every Saturday from 1999 until today, members of OTR Living Water Church share the Gospel in OTR.

Vine House

Vine House

In 2005, Pastor Johann bought a run down building on Republic St following the 2002 riot in OTR. After purchasing the building for $10,000 he immediately began renovations ranging from plumbing, woodwork, and plastering. With the help of volunteers and 2.5 years of labor, the building was completed in April 2008. Pastor Johann and his family moved into the building which is now called, "The Vine House" where all those who enter may remember the words of Jesus in John 15:5,

"I am the Vine, you are the branches...apart from me you can do nothing."

Sycamore House

Sycamore House

Sycamore House was first purchased at $12,000 in June 2010, with the intention of housing missionary interns and hosting Sunday school classrooms. Financially supported by Linda Yen of Taiwan, and with renovations done by the help of many volunteers from all around the nation, the house was completed in January 2013. The very first after school program for kids also began here in Sycamore House.

Providence House

By God's perfect timing and provision, Living Water purchased the twin building of Sycamore house in June 2012 for $8,000. Construction was completed in August 2015.To hear the full story, watch the full testimony below!

OTR Living Water Church Building

After 15 years of serving the OTR community, God graciously provided Living Water with a church building in the heart of OTR. Not only was it by His grace, but by His faithfulness and divine provision that Living Water is now able to worship together in their very own church building.
